![]() ![]() For it’s time, the late Middle Ages and the beginning of the Renaissance era, Rosslyn Chapel was ambitious and extraordinary, particularly in terms of the architectural design. Clair, third (and last) Prince of Orkney, Scotland. Building of the Chapel was begun in 1446 by William St. Matthew and is an active Scottish Episcopal Church. Officially the Chapel is known as the Collegiate Church of St. Selected as one of the locations for the recent film, “The Da Vinci Code” (based on the bestselling book by Dan Brown), Rosslyn Chapel (near Edinburgh, Scotland) has all the presence and mystery that perhaps encouraged its choice for the role.
